Poppies
Our assemblies this week have all been about the centenary of World War 1. We have learned a lot about why poppies have become a symbol of remembrance. Today we went out and planted our poppy seeds around the edge of the field to remind us of the brave soldiers who have fought and died in wars. The children have been encouraged to ask their families about their relatives and ancestors who have served their country, so that we can share our stories in future assemblies.
