Our favourite books

We brought into class our favourite books today to share. Oliver and Jayden shared their Horrid Henry and Beast Quest books.

Amalie looked at Olivia's special book and thought it was like a fairy tale.

Fleur and Catie shared Catie's favourite book.

Maxwell and Marley enjoyed Horrid Henry too!

Charlie was engrossed in Matti's dinosaur book!

  1. What a lovely idea. Marley said he had been reading his Horrid Henry book to his friends. Maybe this could become a regular sharing experience for the class, to read to each other?

  2. That's exactly what it is going to be Mrs Bottrell! They love sharing their books and it's so nice that they can bring their favourites from home. They inspire one another to try new authors, and I get to know what their favourite kinds of stories are.

  4. I agree what a lovely idea. How about trying a book swap too? Oliver W kindly let Olivia borrow his Horrid Henry book a couple of weeks ago and as it's not one she has, we thought it was lovely sharing and a kind thing to do, to trust her with his book. Olivia said she has a lot of books she would be willing to lend her friends.

  5. Yes! Book swaps are really great ways of sharing your books. We may do this before the Easter Holidays so that they can have a holiday swap. I hope that one day we have book swap shelves at East Harling :-)
